About the Practice
Gala Vasenina is a fashion designer, artist, digital designer, innovator and inventor. Her practice moves between fashion design, contemporary art, research and material transformation.
In 2018, Gala Vasenina founded GORA GALA as an interdisciplinary fashion and contemporary art practice. The work is based on the belief that fashion can do more than create an image. It can make an idea visible, communicate a position and create a physical form for questions that matter.
Her academic background includes a Master’s degree in Fashion Trend Forecasting and a Master in Management of Organizations and Enterprises. Her qualification in design has been formally verified as Master of Design / Magistra des Designs by the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB).
GORA GALA develops clothing, objects and spatial works through research, construction and transformation. Depending on the project, the work can take the form of a garment, installation, participatory platform, textile experiment or social project.
